Referral Code FAQ
Plain answers to the questions people ask before they use a referral code: what each program pays, which codes can be added after sign-up, and why a bonus sometimes does not show up. Figures were checked against each program's own pages between 24 and 28 September 2026.
Referral codes in general
What is a referral code, and is it the same as a promo code?
Different programs use different names for similar things. At Airalo, a referral code goes in the same box as a promo code. At Bybit and OKX it goes in a referral code field when you create the account. At Kraken, Vinted and Robinhood there is no code to type, because the invite sits in a link. What matters is where and when the invite is attached, not what it is called.
Can I add a referral code after I have signed up?
It depends on the program. Yes: Airalo (before your first eSIM purchase), iHerb (the code goes in the cart), italki (within 24 hours of registering and before you buy anything), Nomad eSIM and MyProtein (before your first order). No: Kraken, Bybit, OKX, Robinhood and Vinted. For those, the invite has to be attached when the account is created.
Why did my referral bonus not show up?
Almost always one of four things: the account was created without the link or code, the person has had an account with that service before, a deposit or purchase condition is not finished yet, or a deadline has passed (for example 7 days at Bybit or 24 hours at italki). The program page lists the exact conditions.
Do I pay anything extra for using a referral code?
No. The reward is paid by the company, and nothing is added to your price. The person who shared the code earns a reward from the company too.
Why does every code on this site say it is the owner's?
Because it is. Each code and link comes from a real, active account, and the page says when it was last checked against the program's own pages.
