How exchange sign-up bonuses usually work

Nearly every exchange here asks for the same three things: sign up with the code, verify your identity, then make a first deposit or trade within a few days. The bonus arrives after the last step.

The form of the bonus differs. Some pay cash or crypto you can withdraw. Others pay trading credit, such as a futures bonus, that you use on the platform and whose profits you can keep. Each program page says which kind you get.

One tip that applies to all of them

Enter the code on the sign-up form. Exchanges attach the referral when the account is created, so a code you enter afterwards usually doesn't count.
